I am a painter with a studio in Toronto. I paint most days. It is what I do, and for several years now , art has become something that I just can't do without. Colour energizes me in the same way that coffee does for other people ( although I do also love a good cup of coffee!)
I have not always been an artist. After graduating from the University of Toronto (B.A., and B. Ed) , I worked first as a teacher and later trained as a stockbroker. For several years, I advised investment clients from a Bay St office for a major investment firm.
But something unexpected happened when I was invited to attend an art workshop one weekend. I had not ever painted or drawn, but I was completely mesmerized by the colours, textures, the smell of the paints, and the whole studio environment. I experienced a recognition/ an intuitive sense that ART was something I wanted to really pursue. Taking a giant leap of faith, I decided to leave my successful finance career and embark on a 4 year journey of art school. I have been painting ever since.
My subject matter is primarily abstract florals and landscapes. I can also create custom pieces of art to bring colour and energy to your environment, but there is no obligation to purchase a commissioned piece unless you are 100% happy with the result. So feel free to reach out to enquire how my art might energize your space.
I have started to write a blog called An Artist Life which I update as time allows me . Please feel free to subscribe to it by clicking the subscription button on the next page.
