My Story

Have you ever had a  "tipping point" in your life, where everything changed? 

I did. 

I was working as a stockbroker when I was invited to an art workshop by a friend, and I agreed to attend, even though I had never done art before,  Well, I was so thoroughly mesmerized by the colours, the textures and whole experience of trying my hand at creativity, that I decided right then and there that I needed to do more of it. I felt compelled to pursue art, and within a few weeks after the workshop, I left my successful career in finance and enrolled in art school. After four years of full time study, I obtained a Diploma In Fine Arts in 2000. And I have been continuing to make art, always driven by my love of colour. I am an elected member of  the Ontario Society of Artists, and I have exhibited my works in many juried group and solo shows in Canada and the US. 

My Art

In our technology -based digital world, we can sometimes feel rushed, overwhelmed, and out of touch with each other and ourselves. My paintings offer an opportunity to pause, to consider, to "be with" the painting in a moment of contemplation and connection. I may work on many different types of paintings, some abstract, some landscapes and some florals, but what drives all of them is a strong love of colour.
